3. Agree inspection and preparation
Used trucks should have a written checklist covering identity, cold start, engine, transmission, chassis, steering, braking, tyres, electrical equipment and body or fifth wheel. The scope should reflect the truck’s application.
Workshop preparation may include service items, repairs, repainting or replacement parts. It should be listed rather than described only as “fully refurbished.”
